All right, so now that we're studying for and reviewing for our statewide science assessment, we're gonna target specific standards that we need a little remediation on, a little bit more work. In the VR lab we're going to review phase change, which is one of the standards. All right, let's boogie. If you need my assistance please raise your hand. So the outcome is aligned to the standards. What I've noticed is that students are able to use the vocabulary words which they're gonna see later. Students are able to do the math work. Like when the teacher teaches you something you might not get it the first time and when you use VR it helps you to like understand it on a deeper level and it really helps you on tests. Like I've been noticing ever since we started using VR I've been understanding the concepts better. What was really amazing when um parents responded that the children went home and they spoke to their families about what they were doing in math class and that's not really the typical experience with parents. It is result oriented. We do use the data that we gather through the CFUs as a way to remediate in the classroom and prepare them for the formative assessments. I'm thinking of maybe being like an engineer of some sorts, so I'm thinking that this math that I'm learning could be really useful for my future. Having them do the synthesis activity afterwards just shows that they were actually grasping the information, making sure they weren't relying too much on those tools in the VR world, and they're actually understanding concepts and able to explain them. It really just shows more visuals just so that you're more that your mind is more focused on what to do. Sometimes we see like we're in the ocean. It's a really cool experience. I do really think it helps me. You actually like get to like simulate it and go through like the real world math and like actually use it in a way that makes it better to understand. I think the use of these VR goggles may be revolutionary in how we teach science. Uh, they are able to interact with content that really you there's no way to replicate this in the lab or in the classroom. Um, afterwards we will go in and try to have a deeper discussion of the different topics and content that they learned and we'll give them a post assessment to measure the growth as the students complete the lessons.
